Shilene Booysen is a respected football coach, performance analyst, and technical advisor with deep roots in both the women’s and men’s football landscape in Africa and beyond. 
 
She has held roles including Performance Analyst, Tactical Assistant, and Technical Advisor for South Africa’s national women’s team (Banyana Banyana), and more recently served as head coach for Wadi Degla FC Women in Egypt.
 
Shilene’s coaching philosophy emphasizes clarity, player development, and bridging analytics with on-field execution. Her work is guided by the belief that performance analysis should empower both coaches and athletes to make smarter, more intentional decisions.
 
In her new appointment with FIFA as a Technical Expert, she continues her mission of upliftment through coach education, development frameworks, and elevating standards in the women’s game across Africa.
